Racist Bomb Threats in Springfield Force 4 Schools To Close; Goose Photo Debunked
New threats follow tthreat yesterday that forced closure of City Hall, as Trump threatens deportations from Springfield
Wonder what it’s like in Springfield, Ohio today? Here’s the update. Springfield Police report two new racist bomb threats that have led to the evacuation of multiple buildings. Police said the first email came in around 7:21 a.m., targeting several city commissioners and a city employee and the second email came in at 7:45 a.m., threatening multiple locations, including: Springfield City Hall, Cliff Park High School, Perrin Woods Elementary School, Roosevelt Middle School, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and the Ohio License Bureau Southside. "We are currently collaborating with the Dayton office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to determine the origin of these email threats," police said.
Officials with the Springfield City School District said that based on information they got from the Springfield Police Division, students at Perrin Woods and Snowhill Elementary were evacuated and moved to another district location. The district also said they are working to dismiss students to their parents. Roosevelt Middle School was also closed before the school day began based on information from police.
Meanwhile, asked about the bomb threats at a press conference in California, former President Donald Trump responded by saying the “real threat is the border” and added that he would make deportations from Springfield, specifically. This ignores, apparently, the fact that the Haitians in Springfield are in the US legally.
