WOW! I was off-line yesterday, so your post is the first news I heard of Senator Graham’s death.

I just rushed a $250 campaign donation to Dr. Andrews. If we can flip South Carolina, it would be wonderful!

Literally my first thought after reading the news was "what does this mean for the Senate?" The nation is in crisis, if the Dems don't somehow magically retake the Senate we will never stop the bleeding. The only good news I have had all year is this dudes death and Mcconnells, what a shame it had to come to this. His legacy will be the following quote, the last honest thing he said before the Kompromat a few weeks latter made him Trump's biggest lapdog. He was talking about the Republican party at the time but it applies equally to the entire nation.

"If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed…….and we will deserve it."

- Lindsay Graham, 2016

Curiously when discussing that Andrews is a "different" type of candidate than Harrison was, you failed to mention that Andrews is white and Harrison is black. Sadly in South Carolina that is still a determining factor in statewide races. Let's hope that Andrews is a woman is not.

A Lindsey Graham Poem

Lindsey, the Senator, is a peculiar fellow

He is all pudgy and soft, and oh so mellow

As a puppy senator, he chose a wise master

He learned to sit and heel but then came disaster

His master senator took sick, receiving a higher call

The death of McCain led to the puppy senator's downfall

Insecure, Lindsey always wanted to be his own boss

He learned the master's talk, but it was ruff after his loss

He barked like John, but his bark held no bite

Lindsey hanged with the big dogs, but he couldn't fight

He gravitated to a big loud dog, aiming to please

Lindsey forgot his puppy lessons, not to tease

He found a new Trump master all covered with fleas

Poor little Lindsey fell victim to the political disease

He followed his new master learning corrupt games

Poor little Lindsey is now going down in flames

A once promising puppy senator is now full of disease

Looking bloated and unhealthy and covered in fleas

It's a sad story of a puppy who forgot a wise master's teachings

Left bloated and alone trying to remember John's preachings

Lindsey is in a fight for his life to see who gets to live in the doghouse

He doesn't want to give it up and he is promising to delouse

The people in the S. C. Kennel feel bad for Lindsey

He came back to the kennel a poor sight to see

Looking bloated and sadder filled with political disease

No one wanted to go near him. He was all covered in fleas

A DC tragedy that happens all too often

Puppy Senator getting too close to the DC oven

The oven heat at first, feels warm and comfortable

Staying too long, getting too close leads to trouble

Lindsey is older but not wiser with a bark that rings hollow

He is a spectacle and too much for the voters to swallow.

A promising young Senator's story and his downfall.

Death comes to everyone, even senators get the call.

Pass on the love and leave the hate behind. Please share my poems far and wide. Democracy demands our best, not the ones easily led astray.

Peace ✌️ Packy (Pat) Paules

Dr Annie Andrews is an impressive candidate who has a decided advantage with women voters regardless of party. She is an articulate pediatrician and thereby has an audience as well as reliability particularly with women and men as well not as a “politician.” Whoever turns out to be her opponent will start off this race as effectively tied! Let’s be sure to help Dr Andrews and carry her to a very important victory!

(At first I thought by "disease" you meant what just killed him! Maybe use the past tense in your first two lines.)

My first take on hearing about his death was that I was glad we are rid of him. Sad about anyone's death but good riddance to such a Trump synchophant. Then I remembered what he was before he moved into the Trump camp. A thoughtful witty guy. What internal devils changed him I will never know, but I will mourn the death of that earlier man who died back then, not the one who just passed.

Let's not forget what an incredible hypocrite Miss Lindsey was.

I just moved from SC after 44 years, and I use that name -- as did thousands of us -- for a reason. A dear friend, Linda Ketner, was the creator of a national movement, "The Alliance for a Free and Full Acceptance" (AFFA) to support LGBTQ people. She ran for office as a SC Representative in 2008. Graham's office, obviously not having done their homework, said that they would "out" her unless she withdrew her candidacy. Laughing, Linda told me, "I told them, 'Fine! And I'll out Lindsey!" No further pressure from Graham's office!

He said of the orange sadist in December, 2015: "You Know How You Make America Great Again? Tell Donald Trump To Go To Hell." He also said: "Trump's A Race-Baiting, Xenophobic, Religious Bigot. He Doesn't Represent My Party. He Doesn't Represent The Values That The Men And Women Who Wear The Uniform Are Fighting For." This, from a man who ended up being among the orange sadist's fiercest allies and "friends."

As USNews described their relationship today, "Trump and Graham began so frequently hitting the links together that the senator started seeing it as something of a career builder, leaning heavily into the kind of over-the-top flattery Trump relishes." He loudly supported the orange sadist in almost everything.

After winning the repug primary in May, he said, " I want to start with a bunch of thank yous. I want to thank the big guy, God. Trump comes later,' Graham laughed. “Mr. President, you’re not far behind God, but we’re gonna start with him."

Trump endorsed his sister so he can continue to blackmail Lindsey's memory through her. Lindsey's was an expert on foreign policy. How is it that his sister can state, that she's not informed on foreign policy?

As a former believer in the two party system I voted conservative, mostly, although I voted across the lines in both state and federal elections. At some point I came to the realization that regardless of who I voted for, they were supported by AIPAC.

I actually met Graham one time years ago in a meeting of about ten people. My impression was that he was smart, knowledgeable, and articulate and I generally agreed with his positions on whatever topics were discussed at the time.

Only later did I realize that he tended to vote with the democrats on close issues when the republicans held the majority. In other words, he was a RINO, like McConnel, McCain, Cheney, McCarthy and too many others.

Trump came along and promised to MAGA. He was going to keep us out of wars, address illegal immigration, put and end to wokeness, etc.

When Trump took office last year, he dropped his mask and revealed what he really is; another globalist puppet just like Biden, Bush, Obama, and the rest. He jerked the rug out from under his base and along with his old enemy and new friend Graham showed that his allegiance was not to America but to Israel.

Graham was going to lose in November and our masters knew it. They need a new candidate and it will be another zionist, like Nancy Mace.

When the dust settles, a GOPer nominee will be chosen, and the November election in SC will follow type and produce another GOPer senator...it's something in the water.
