I watched alot of trial/courtroom videos the last years and what I notice is maximum penalty for manslaughter (which alot of mirderers plea down too for their either confession and/or witness against coconspirator, like au pair case (double murder), WHILE
The same time, for a few gram of heroin you can get easy up towards 20yrs.
I think if you get busted a few times aswell, as you may be when law enforcement know you probably need to use dope) you get 20 to life for being an addict being caught 3 times with maybe dope for some days.. because of habitual status. If you are an addict, that makes most things habitual.
My point is really not vs murders etc, but white collar crimes. If Trump had been punished/sentenced for the 34 count of fraud, someone else (and especially him) would never got a day in prison. And that was regarding forgery regarding him getting to withdraw his expenses for bribe as expenses for his firm. Again this is about the crime not who.
What hurt most people. Not having to pay tax on some money (more than the drugaddicted guy ever have used on drugs probably) but crime also have "tiers"
You have crimes noone get more than a fine (big but inconsequential for the people getting it (like the Oxycodin family, Perdue. And they were responsible for all the addiction and deaths. Where is distribution charges? No a payment over 10 or 20 years which makes their investments or even interests on the interest of their drigmoney. I thought USA could seize money earned from drugsales.
But they did a tier 1 crime.
Not like they got drunk and made a fool of themselves and got slapped with assault on Leo obstruction etc for being served alcohol until they had no control. Or you are doing poor man crimes..

I like your poisonous fruit regarding to have a search warrant. In Norway, my home country, I got sentence for 300g with marihuana, when 2 police just wandering in my living room. Find 40g and dry stem i don't have thrown away.. it is like a sentence for 1g meth/amphetamine and a bowl of sugar and get 50g and probably distribution.
However, I think there are less police violence in Norway. Police get immunity almost always even when caught lying... Insanity

I'm a little shocked, this is so unexpected. Mr. Lyons recently testified before congress and came across as a person who did not believe in accountability for ICE agents. Here's an AP article about the hearing.
Their approval ratings have tanked so much, they're just throwing people a bone.
No one in the Epstein files has been held accountable. There was no justice for Pretti or Good. No one punished for depicting the Obamas as apes. No accountability for anyone at DHS posting Neo-Nazi propaganda. What about the man they said ran head first into a brick wall? Who wiped ICE's surveillance footage at Bridgeview Detention Center? This administration is still building even more "detention centers" and Trump continues to act like a tyrant.
This is just theater and is ultimately meaningless after the non-stop assault on our rights and values as Americans.
Either the govt. moves to (1), indict the pair of liars, or (2), just quietly moves them out of the public eye while the alleged investigation spirals down a black hole. "$1,000 for option 2, Alex."
this is only the first time where liars are exposed, how many time has this happen with no redress, no admittance of guilt, they are quick to blame, but very slow to shame
